Pathway 23

On the Green Knob Loop Trail (sometimes knows as the Simms Creek Trail) on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Boone NC. March 26, 2011.

I took over 30 pictures the day my sister and brother-in-law and I went out there. I managed to narrow it down to 5 for the Pathway Project. And it was HARD. This was always my favorite trail, and we picked a perfect western North Carolina day to hit it: cold and foggy and beautiful.

At the far end you can see where the path comes out into of the forest into a huge cow pasture. Hard to capture how cool the divide is, it's one of the best parts of the path.
