Seeing as how we all get this premium membership for a day, I'm going to snag a neat journal skin to FINALLY do a journal update.
Lots going on. I just got the update that I'll be in the art show at San Diego Comic-Con again this year. Me and procrastination are old friends, and I was sure I'd waited too long to apply, but I squeaked in. Look for the Design Within display with the circuit board pendants.
Still doing the podcast at Comic-Issues.com, I've been fantastically lucky with that. I tease Andrew and Anthony pretty hard a lot of the time, but I know this podcast is an awesome thing to be a part of, and they're pretty cool to let me stay.
Still doing the romance covers, if you google Linda Winstead Jones a lot of her recent e-book covers are my designs, that's also a pretty lucky break. She's referred me to one other author, who's referring me to her sister to do a novella cover. Each cover means spending an hour or so looking at stock photos of nearly naked, muscular men. Nice work if you can get it
Lola the cat says hi, by the way. She's doing good too, I've had her for about five years now, and she keeps things in perspective. One may question one's skills or one's social abilities or any number of intangible things, but in the end the litter box wants cleaning and the food dish won't fill itself.
Other than that, here's a few of the deviations that've inspired me recently. This place is amazing for soaking up creativity, I never feel bad about looking around here while I'm at work: you can't overestimate the value of basking in other people's art.
